Lisa Copen is the woman behind Rest Ministries. After being diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis in 1993 and not finding the support or resource she had hoped for in the Christian community, she began Rest Ministries. This has given her the chance to follow her dreams of writing and speaking, and even becoming an affiliate ministry with Joni and Friends, the disability ministry of Joni Eareckson Tada. As Lisa dives into the Word she is constantly reminded of just how applicable every bit of it is, especially for those who are suffering with chronic illness or pain.
